Problem description:
I am used to modeling a switch with a low turn-on voltage using an NPN and a PNP transistor component. Why aren't they in the PLECS library?
Solution:
PLECS is about system simulations where semiconductors are modeled as ideal switches controlled by logical gate signals. On this abstraction level, the behavior of a BJT is very much the same as that of an IGBT (without an anti-parallel diode), which is provided in the PLECS component library.
